
Aash Jethra is a freelance multimedia reporter with an acute knowledge of South Asian history and geopolitics. With a background in biomedical research and a forthcoming degree in international journalism, he brings a broad range of aptitudes to his reporting.
Well-rounded not only in content, Aash is also proficient with various media platforms. He has exposed the devastation of the Haiti earthquake in photographs, covered healthcare for a weekly newspaper, and captured the rich sounds of kathak dancing in an audio slideshow.
Currently, Aash is pursuing a master of arts degree at the City University of New York's Graduate School of Journalism, with a double concentration in International Reporting and Business & Economics Reporting.
Aash is conversational in Hindi & Urdu and a keen follower of news from the Indian subcontinent. He is an active member of the South Asian Journalists Association and seeks to become a correspondent based in eastern Pakistan or North India.
